THE CHALLENGE
ARTÉMIA was chosen by the Netherlands Embassy’s Office for Science and Technology to develop and organize an international forum on Sustainable Urban Planning and Green Building for a delegation of top architects and planners visiting California from the Netherlands. The delegation was comprised of experts from top firms and the highest government levels in the Netherlands to speak on various topics surrounding sustainability in the urban environment. ARTÉMIA was given the task of attracting a similar specialized group of sustainability experts from California to provide a U.S. perspective at the event. Furthermore, ARTÉMIA was charged with co-producing the event and responsible for the overall program development, crafting of a publicity campaign, creation of all promotional collateral as well as all logistical aspects (including staffing) of the event itself.
THE SOLUTION
Utilizing contacts within the Mayor’s office and various city departments in San Francisco, research institutions and universities throughout California as well as our existing network, ARTÉMIA was able to quickly garner interest in the event. ARTÉMIA worked to select experts who could speak to sustainability efforts on company, city and state levels. Simultaneously, ARTÉMIA ran a promotional campaign in support of the event designed to attract urban designers, green builders, architects and investors in the sustainability arena.
THE RESULTS
ARTÉMIA designed and produced all collateral for the event, and managed all event-related logistics. From the accounts of all parties involved, the event was a great success, both in terms of attendance (projections were exceeded) and quality of information.
