Marin County Transit District required communications planning, marketing, content development, public outreach and event management surrounding their Redwood and Grant Transit Improvement Project, a construction project to upgrade a key transit stop in the City of Novato.
THE SOLUTION
After developing a comprehensive communications plan and core messaging document for the project, ARTÉMIA conducted weekly public outreach, social media management, email outreach, design and content development for public notices and passenger pamphlets, as well as website design. Ongoing updates were made to ensure the public is aware of all construction updates as work progressed.
ARTÉMIA's close partnerships with both the client and Jungle Communications has allowed the team to develop, produce and distribute multi-lingual notices with very short turn-around times, sometimes within an hour of an urgent request from Marin Transit. Due to street construction which necessitated transit re-routing, schedule changes and delays, the client needed to make adjustments to many transit lines and notify all passenger and drivers immediately. Jungle and ARTÉMIA were able to respond and deploy resources to prevent a passenger crisis by responding to client needs in the field within an hour of client notification.
ARTÉMIA also worked to notify local and regional media with regular project updates, created and distributed biweekly update emails in conjunction with Marin Transit, the City of Novato and Golden Gate Transit, and ensured the latest project information was posted for the public on the project website.
THE RESULT:
The official ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration included a VIP event as well as a ridership and community event in September. ARTÉMIA developed all aspects of the festivities in direct collaboration with the client and successfully concluded the campaign. VIPs, including officials and community representatives praised the inclusiveness and accessibility of the events as well as the attention to detail in coordinating the many aspects of the outreach programs.
