Is your digital marketing strategy in need of a pick-me-up? These simple tips will improve your business’s efforts in all of the major categories.
PPC STRATEGY: TARGET SPECIFIC KEYWORDS
If you’re running a paid AdWords or PPC campaign with nearly a dozen keywords for one ad, you’re likely throwing money away. Be strategic in your approach by creating ad groups that target a specific keyword. Use the Google Keyword Planner to research the most relevant and searched keyword for your audience, then create two or three ads for that targeted keyword. Test the ads to see which performs best, then use it.
SEO: CREATE MORE INTERNAL LINKS
Your site likely has an abundance of content that you’ve worked hard to create. Use it to your advantage! Take the time to comb through your site and internally link top performing SEO content to other pages on your website. Be sure that the content links are relevant and add value to your site visitors. This may mean going back and editing old pages or posts to include links to new, amazing content. Doing this can increase SEO ranking and site traffic dramatically.
FACEBOOK: GIVE YOUR POSTS A BOOST
Businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to reach and engage their target audiences via social media. The decline of organic Facebook reach is being felt by everyone, and thanks to recent algorithm adjustments, publishers have seen a 52% decline in organic reach on Facebook. That means fewer clicks, comments and shares. If you have more than 100 likes on your page, use intelligent boosts to reach thousands of unique users. For as little as $20 or $30, you can drive traffic to your page and potentially garner new customers.
ENGAGE MORE ON TWITTER
Too often, businesses are guilty of a lack of engagement on Twitter. Don’t just post your own blogs or share others’ posts – take part in the conversation. Engage with other companies, thought leaders in your space, and especially your customers. Twitter was meant to be a platform to share and engage in meaningful conversation, so be sure to use it as such – you’ll be surprised how followers will start flowing your way.
EMAIL MARKETING: GET CREATIVE WITH SUBJECT LINES
The best email subject lines are those that create curiosity, a sense of urgency, or are relevant or personalized to a specific person or audience. Get crafty and think out of the box when sending your next email campaign, it may be all it takes to revive an old, tired list. The best email subject lines are creative, compelling, and informative without giving too much away. A good subject line that piques interest is the difference between a prospect opening or ignoring an email.
