Last week I had the pleasure of speaking with financial expert Ismail Rahman, Audit Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco about his thoughts on this year’s RSA conference.

About our Guest: Ismail Rahman

Ismail Rahman serves as the Audit Director for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He oversees the audit coverage of the IT and Finance functions and its myriad responsibilities, as well as a number of Twelfth District business functions. Ismail holds a an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from the N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi and the University of Arizona. Ismail has over 20 years of Information Security, IT and business processes experience. He has extensive knowledge of the security operations of some of the larger fortune 500 companies and has worked closely with the leading Cloud Service Providers. He has provided business and technology solutions across a variety of areas such as; developing security programs, and multi-year security maturity roadmaps.

Ismail joined the San Francisco Fed Audit Division in 2016. Prior to that, Ismail was an Advisory Director at KPMG LLP, in their Cyber Security Practice, where he led various IT projects for large global organizations to build, implement and maintain Information Security, Data Privacy and Business and Technology Resiliency programs.
