Google and the Grand River Dam Authority have announced an agreement for GRDA to supply the Internet search company’s data center in Oklahoma with 48 megawatts of wind energy. It is the first time Google has contracted directly with a utility provider to increase its renewable energy consumption, and GRDA’s first wind energy power purchase agreement.
