Event Management Inspiration from Super Bowl 50

If you’re looking for some event management inspiration to create more engaging and interactive experiences, look no further than Super Bowl 50. While many of us may not have the same budget-busting marketing dollars that are being poured into events at Super Bowl City in downtown San Francisco, there are still many ideas that can be adapted at a much lower cost.

Here are the ARTÉMIA team’s top picks:

  • Super Fan Chase Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger hunts are by no means a new concept, but the growth in social media has brought about a whole new element, while GPS tracking helps build a competitive edge. As well as being great team-building events, they can be scaled to any size. This event kicks off in Berkeley today and runs through Saturday.

  • The Fan Energy Zone, powered by SAP

When it comes to technology and innovation, the Bay Area talks a big game. The Fan Energy Zone, located in Super Bowl City has been designed to provide some substance to the hype by delivering “the most interactive fan experience ever.” The Zone is made up of three areas: the Fan Dome, the Fan Wall, and the Fan Stage. Within the Fan Dome, fans take part in interactive games and experience the latest in gaming technology while, of course, being able to share everything on social media in real time. The take-away for small businesses here is to create event experiences that are as immersive as possible and that go far beyond demonstrations to create meaning – and memories.

  • Viewing parties

Hosting a viewing party or a pre-game tailgate party, no matter your distance from the stadium, is a great way of spending some time with colleagues and clients in an informal setting, while tapping into the excitement of the event without breaking the budget. Get everyone involved with these Super Bowl-themed games (tailored to whichever event you are watching) such as commercial bingo.
