A LETTER FROM OUR CEO
Hello and Happy New Year!
I’m delighted to welcome you once again you to ARTÉMIA Communications Inc., a full-service, award-winning global communications and marketing agency that works with companies from fortune 500s to international high-growth start-ups.
I’m writing to you on New Year’s Day. Like many of you, I suspect, I find this to be a perfect time in which to contemplate the year that’s over and the one that’s about to begin. I cherish this time when my fast-paced life slows, if just for a moment, and I’m able to take stock.
Last year was amazing for us! Our client list grew, as it always seems to do. And it evolved in exciting ways. One new client I’ve been delighted to work with is See Her Work, an innovative startup that designs attractive, functional work wear for women in the construction trades. These garments aren’t just functional and attractive — they actually fit! (As many women have told us, this simply wasn’t the norm before.)
One of the reasons I love this young company is that it reflects my own passion for inclusion — a value that has been an integral driving force for ARTÉMIA since I founded the firm. What better way to encourage gender diversity than enabling women to do their best work in a male-dominated field?
As always, this year I’ve had my fingers on the pulse of industry developments and social trends. I was fired up by the long-overdue #MeToo movement — as you can see in this impassioned podcast. I also decided to expand ARTEMIA’s services to include Reputation Management — a vital service to offer at a time when rumors and fake “facts” can circulate at lightning speed, damage or destroy whatever’s in their path.
Another very different trend — the growing need for cogent, well-crafted writing on complex financial matters — also lit a fire under me this year. Looking for thoughtful, precise explanation of just about any issue in finance? Click here to enter our new — and already bustling — Financial Writers Bureau.
Technologically, we’re moving as fast as the times, adding new tools to our high-tech arsenal. We’re also — and this may sound counter-intuitive — expanding our staff, while planning to whittle down our company’s carbon footprint.
Clients are still invited to meet with us at our beautiful office suite on Union Street, just steps from the San Francisco Bay. But some of the voices at the conference table may be patched in from far away. More and more, I’ve noticed, talented communications professionals prefer to work remotely. Some of our own team members are based in such exciting places as Toronto, Paris and Buenos Aires.
This year, as always, I’ll work to promote diversity and inclusion in the supply chain as well as workplaces across the globe. I will continue helping Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and small and minority business enterprises to join diversity programs, support diverse sourcing and supply teams, and create events and campaigns.
On this quiet New Year’s Day, I’m thrilled to contemplate the exciting year ahead. I’m proud of what we do at ARTÉMIA – and excited about what we’ll be able to accomplish together in 2019.
Please contact us to see how we can help to move your company forward this year. We’d be delighted to help.
Wishing you all much success!
